@ Jeff - he's a she, but, yes, it was only because I'd been fiddling around with the camera on the tripod in my living room for hours, experimenting with flower pics, that I was able to take this pic. My feline assistant was by then so bored with the camera that the hard part was getting her to open her eyes!

@ Marian - actually that's her trying to look all innocent and butter-wouldn't-melt because cats are officially banned from being on the leather sofas or the throws, as well she knows.

@ Bricjen - thanks very much for your modification. Your version looks brighter and cleaner, and seems to bring out the eyes more. It's certainly better without those distracting tufts of fur all over the throw that I was too lazy to clone out myself!
