Hi one and all,
Many thanks for your kind c+c on my last upload. Last week I was asked by a friend of mine to photograph his AC ACE (or is it ACECA - the log book has both written on it). This is the first time I've been asked to photograph a car so I'm interested to see your comments.
It's quite a car, very much original and has only done 70,333 miles. However all good things must come to an end and sadly he is going to part with it and I haven't had a ride yet
- still time though ![]()
Thanks for the information Bill. This does have a hard top that can be fitted - I don't know if that counts...
As to the engine, all I can tell you is that I understand it is the 2nd off of the Bristol 100D2 engine that was made for it.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy these.
All the best,
James

I think V1 just pips V2 - smoothness of lines, clear view through windscreen. What a very sad face the car has - but those leather seats are so tactile.

A fine set of one of the loveliest English sports cars, always a favourite of mine even though I have never been closer to one than from members' enclose to trackside at Goodwood in about 1958. 797TPP looks to be in great condition.
I think it has the A.C. 2-litre engine.
I have always believed the Aceca was a hard-top version, even prettier than the open 2-seater Ace. Unlike the Ace I have never seen one at all ![]()
Thanks for posting this. Unfortunately all I can do is drool.
Bill
V1 is superb, a real eye-catcher, as is the car!!
Carol
Great view point on V1 James, and what a lovely old classic.

You've captured a great selection here James - v1 is my favourite though ![]()

Fabulous car and you have photographed it beautifully,
Hugh
