Hello,

Well, my earlier efforts (now taken down) at presenting a picture of myself have taught me a lot, for which I would like to give particular thanks to Willie (banehawi) and Ben (Jestertheclown). In my humble opinion, I think I might have got it about right now.

V1 is closest to what I was aiming for and V2 is a less contrasty version for those who may prefer it.

All comments and thoughts greatfully received.

All the best,

James

Many thanks to you all for your kind support. If I had realised how many people were following this exercise I wouldn't have deleted the earlier, critiqued, versions. Sorry. The best I can do is add as V3 the only remaining copy I have from the previous uploads.

Great lighting and colour James, and a very nicely framed shot. A smashing PF pic', such a Majestic looking figure .

Very good self portrait James. I think I might well crack the lens should I try this.

Great job James.
Both very good, V2 has the edge for me, being slightly brighter
I did get to see your earlier attempts and was able to read the excellent advice given.
