Enjoyed experimenting with this lighting technique, thanks Emma for being such a patient model in my attempts at a bit of glamour. Thanks for the cc on my previous uploads, much appreciated.
Nice set of moody mono portraits
Nice set of mono portraits with a feel of the 60's to me. The lighting and styling makes me think of James Bond film.
A well lit set of images all very moody and indeed a timeless look to them Colin
like them all,but v4 stands out for me.
this is a good bit of work. Like they say there's no better way of learning than learning by doing

High praise Karen, thanks! and of course you find me a willing hinter or assistant come Friday. Thanks to everyone for the comments and clicks, Paul i agree, when i now look at the images they do have a 60's feel. Dave, never a truer word said!

Superb sequence, but each deserves their own stage,
that lighting is excellent,
Wish I could see V1 larger.
Fair comment Andrew, an oversight on my part. James
Great set of shots. Wonderful lighting.
Beautiful set of images, great lighting and lovely mono tones
the back lighting of 1 is the most effective for me out of this series
I like V4 best out of these ..all good lighting though
Love V4 with the light outlining her face. Great light in all 4. All very moody shots. Well done James..........Sandy
A very nice set of images. The mono's have good use of light. Good composition my pleasure to 30 click
I have no experience of portrait photography, James, and so have no ability to comment productively, but all I would say is that this series I find delightful and to me seem very accomplished. Very well done.
V2 for me.
a lovely set of images, i really like the last one, i am not sure why, there is just something about the pose and angle. absolutely fantastic set, great use of lighting. x x

Beautiful neckline and profile in version 4 . Good moody lighting .
