An approaching brief snowshower, a wall of advancing white, was flared fleetingly orange and pink by the final rays of the dying sunset behind it. I had no idea this was going to happen when I set off from the valley to reach this waterfall, but was stunned when it did. Two minutes later the colour was gone and the valley had disappeared below in the wind-ploughed drifting flakes. A very memorable evening...
