To give this a more dreamlike quality I duplicated the background layer (in Photoshop) and applied a Watercolour filter, reduced to 10% and blended the layer using Multiply. I then duplicated the original again and used Find Edges, desaturated completely and again reduced to around 10% and blended using Multiply. These incremental adjustments give a watercolour / ink effect which I like a lot.
