This Song Thrush has been very bold of late, I think from family responsibilities!

This is really excellent shot but the colours seem a little washed out. Have you tried using a graphics package on the image? I used Photoshop and got more deeply saturated colours. What is the blue/green strap on left hand side.

I'm amazed that someone has commented on this so soon. Thank you. As for the colours, I tend not to tweak as I have been very satisfied with the camera's ability to tell it as it is - it was a rainy morning and still overcast when I took this - hence the muted colours. I also have an disadvantage that I work with a LCD screen at home, so what I tweak may not look the same on a CRT screen anyway. The blue-green strap is a washing line in my nextdoor neighbours' garden Smile

It might be worth cloning out the washing line as It distracts from the Thrush.
I think its your LCD monitor Gamma adjustment which may be required. I downloaded a copy and got much more intense colours by adjusting only contrast and brilliance. How do your prints compare with the monitor?
There is a good article on Gamma correction in the Forum.
