An image captured on the beach at AllHallows which is on the Peninsula.
It's a little bit of a nothing image, which sums up hoe I feel at the moment. Yesterday did not go as expected. I popped around to the Doctors in order to prevent further nagging from my beloved Kizmet, "sorry Julie". As you know I have been suffering from a really bad chest, which the doctor diagnosed as Bronchitis, well it has not really cleared up. Sp I thought another course of anti-biotics would shift the little bugger, but no. The Doctor bless him sent me and James down to Medway Hospital, whereupon I was seen by various doctors, plugged into more machines than a McLaren Racing Car, only to be told that I had "wait for it"...................................................... 'reflux disease'. "What the?" ..... So after 11 hours I was finally discharged with even more pills, and told that I would be having more tests etc etc in the very near future, and then I should return to a specialist Consultants Clinic in eight blooming weeks time.
Well, life goes on I suppose.
As for the blooming discarded tennis ball, that sums my day up rather nicely, "I am sure you can work the rest out for yourselves"
Thank you for all your great comments and words of encouragement following yesterdays upload. A special mention going to EAS (Ann) and Gypsyman (Eric) for their most welcomed User Awards.
I never even got a chance to glance at you're undoubtedly great images yesterday, so I shall take this opportunity to apologise whole heartedly.
Although I am meant to be resting up, I shall try wherever possible to have a look and comment today.
I hope that you all have a great day ahead, I shall be resting whilst Julie prepares my bits and bobs for my week away in respite.
Regards Nathan ![]()

Well spotted and captured Nathan, excellent composition,
Fred.
Far from being a 'nothing image' I think this one is a really well observed and captured, thought provoking image with great use of dof.
If it is any consolation, I have lived with reflux for over 30 years.
A fine piece of photography...as to the `meaning of life'...I would translate it as a call for it to be picked up and thrown (either for the dog to chase and retrieve - or for you to follow wherever it takes you!).
Have a good weekend (if that's possible) ![]()
Sorry yesterday wasn't so good, Nathan. Can't have been remotely like fun but at least you now know the problem and something can be done to keep it under control. I can see that tennis ball being so very tempting and what a wonderful colour it now is! All my best wishes.
Ann
To end with only, had a great entertaining story I hope.
It's all for the best Nathan I know when I go they look and they find but it is for the best, better to be plugged in than not, lol. You are right it does sum up how you are feeling and balls bounce back look forward to seeing the return . take care my friend .
John
Excellent shot Nathan, well spotted and captured, hope things improve for you soon my friend, take care
Hugh
A lesson in DOF Nathan, excellent my friend.
Regards
Trev.
This is a rather fine shot, I reckon - making something creative from nearly nothing. It's visually good - and it conveys a real feeling of gloom and despondency.
So - I hope channelling it into the picture may relieve some of the feelings, at least a little.
My hubs has a problem cough Nathan which he never manages to get on top of, he sees the Dr and has tablets for reflux, they seem to call everything a disease now! I know you are strong of mind and will not give up, the waiting I find frustrating - following my fitting of the ECG monitor I have to wait 10 days![]()
The colorful ball makes this picture, the strong colour and pebbles are a bonus
always good to see something different Nathan like the pov and dof yes reflux is a real pain have had it for the last 10 years anyway have a good week away and very best wishes to Julie

If the tennis ball had been photographed on the court it would just be a ball shot, however this discarded ball covered in seaweed in between the pebbles is well spotted and captured. I like it... Life seems to be throwing you curved balls. I am sure with the start of spring life will look brighter and your health will improve. Look after yourself![]()

Glad to make this double 30 Nathan. What a superb job you've made of such a simple image, both thought provoking and creative. Hope you get even more off your Chest VERY soon.

Well spotted image of this neglected ball ![]()
Hope you soon get that chest sorted, Nathan - I know from experience that bronchitis can be a bugger to shake off ![]()
Take care, mate ![]()

You have to be kidding!! That ball was on the line!!! This place is the pits!!! That ball was IN
Wonder what his blood pressure was at such moments? An inspired player, if somewhat of a rebel, but that makes the game more colourful.
Hope all goes well for you, Nathan.

I like this for its simplicity, Nathan, and the story it conjures up in the mind, who does it belong to? Is some dog somewhere pining for it? Is it waiting for its owner to return? Who will play with it next? and so on.
A neat find. Like the contrasting colour of the ball.

- I'm with Lynne!
Sorry to hear about the acid reflux condition. My wife too is a sufferer with this and has had to take pills for years now, so I know what an unpleasant problem it is. Keep your chin up my friend.
Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery,
Robin
There is something nostalgic about a toy of any kind being left behind, and probably missed, or maybe this one was just discarded because it was of no worth any more.
Reflux disease is no fun, but can be caused by various medications. I'd look to that before taking proton pump inhibitors which also inhibit correct digestion - itself able to cause mal-absorption and other problems. Been there, and done this one Nathan.
