This is a much photographed tree (and fence) of late !! Sorry to upload yet another image of it but I rather like it - especially in this shot because of the long shadows it's casting across the snowy field. Also the "blue" tone, for me at least, typically depicts the temperatures we've been experiencing of late.

V2 is obviously a mono version - I couldn't decide which to upload as the first choice but eventually went with the colour version. Please view LARGE & F11 and tell me what you're thoughts are - and remember - HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY Wink

Thanks for looking

I like it and I prefer V2. There is a little too much empty space on the right though and I think it would work with a tighter crop on that side.

Excellent shot Janie. I like the colour version, but the mono really does it for me.

Perhaps a step or two to the right and swinging the camera to the left a tad to include more fence, with the tree further to the right might have helped the composition a little. As Fraser suggests, cropping some of the right of the frame out could be an option.

Nice work - love the shadows and light on the fence.

Very lovely, Jane, like the strong shadows being cast. LIke both versions, but for me it has to be the colour version, 'cos it's so...colourful!

A quite splendid image as it is with the strong lighting and shapes.
Have you considered a crop of the right side of frame - I think mit would make an even better vertical image.
