Another still life this evening - I brought the skull in from the garden and really must put it out again before the snails in/on it wake up ![]()
The shell is back in a bowl of Milton as it honks - one day it, and the rest of the shells, will be ok!

Thanks folks ![]()
It's surprisingly hard to get decent smoke from a candle - I managed three shots and then changed the arrangement a bit and then it refused to give me any nice swirly smoke
I've got three more candles I'll get burning tomorrow and see if I can manage it again!
Thanks again folks - I'll probably keep messing about with this lot for a few days now ![]()
I'm afraid the moss is staying put Richard - I opted to use this skull as it's not all nice and clean (and bright) like my other skulls. However the moss has grown on the skull - lots of it on the side you can't see - and I'm not taking it off
Chances are however that the skull in the middle of its forehead has wandered off now - I'll probably find it halfway up a wall one day ![]()
Thanks again folks ![]()
I do like this background Keith - doubtless I'll be using that ad nauseum now until I find another I fall in love with. I'm burning a new candle now in the hope that I can get some decent smoke swirls off this one - digits crossed for my next still life endeavour!
