This is a classic high contrast black 'n white image. A well thought through composition.

Lots of strong diagonals, Bill, makes an excellent compositional framework. The high contrast emphasises these diagonals and there's a wonderful old building sandwiched between the new.

A well chosen viewpoint Bill, excellent composition and tip top processing. A change from the Normal Sage view...A wise old sage told me.

I like the darkness at the top which seems to hold it all down and anchor the image. Although looking at the shadows I suspect it was a bright day.

I almost posted a monochrome image this morning Bill, it would have looked poor by comparison.

Love the gritty B&W rawness of this.

Some fine angles and tones in this. The framing of the distant buildings is genius.

Very impressive, love the comp and the high contrast. After all you couldn't do justice to Gateshead and Newcastle with something wussy and close-toned, could you?

great processing and composition, Bill.
the reflection on the glass facade throws an extra light to the scene, generating those indirect shadows leading to the old church.
