Took a trip out this morning to New Brighton Lighthouse, this time the tide was comming in fast, touch and go whether the sun would rise before the tide came in all the way.
Thanks for looking.
Jason
Thanks for all who clicked and commented before...Andy was right there did look like a halo around the lighthouse.

Great tones nice colours but there is something about it that does not look quite right and i cannot put my finger on it but a nice image with it,John
this is wonderful Jason, the warm light on the lighthouse really makes it leap out from the deep blues in the sky and sea. The water rolling back off the rocks is magic,
Chris.
the thumbnail caught my eye, great contrast between the dark broody sky and the sunlit lighthouse, what shutter speed did you use mate?
Do you have any probs with vignetting when you use filters with this lens Jase? i'm thinking of getting one for my D70s but my filters are 77mm and the thread on this baby is 67mm? i suppose i could always get BIG filters like 'LEE' or large cokin's since i need to get new ones anyway.
Storm conditions by the look of this Jason, superb shot.
Ian.
Hi; the way this picture has been taken, gives the wonderful impression of the steadfastness of the lighthouse, (very sharply focused) against the ever changes and roughness of the see. I like it ver much indeed particularly for the position in the frame. something has worked really well here! congratulations. it looks nice in the thumbnail and even better large.

Good image, imho just a tad oversaturated, but well worth of a click---not that it needs another.
Superb shot of the lighthouse, like the light on it and the capture of water movement
