A very nice shot Jason - couldn't have been a better bg than that red flower to set it off

Another colourful capture, Jason. Is this butterfly different from yesterdays??

An extremely impressive Close-up Photograph Jason, of which you have captured the beautiful colour, and great detail of this rather handsome looking 'Brown Argus Butterfly' delicately posed on this gorgeous flower so very well indeed.

Well - I think so although I will definitely stand to be corrected. I think the spot pattern is slightly different and I am reasonable confident this is a Brown Argus becuase I saw brown wings. Less confident about yesterday's blue to be honest. They do look very similar with wings shut though and that's why I said yesterday that I found them hard to tell apart

Looks as if he(?) is doing a handstand, or the flutterby equivalent. Great exposure control, here Jason, and sharp where it should be.

a fine shot!!
the females have brown upper sides in many blues species . Well at second thoughts yesterdays may have been a female , too, but the 'common' ones have blue and orange and brown insides.
what can I say there are so many and I have taken months for all the hollies chalkhills etc.
