Crag Lough (pronounced Loff) is the lake at the foot of the cliff with the mist and early morning sun on it.

If you look hard you can just make out Hadrian's Wall going up the first hill back. Quite why the Romans thought they needed a 6 foot wall when there was a 100 foot cliff there I am not quite sure Grin

v2 is the colour version.

Thanks for looking
Jason

Two great landscape images here, a scene very local to me. V1 by a margin for me.

Wow.... very impressive. Moody and magnificent Jason and more than well suited to being a mono image.

Jason love this and both versions for their own merits. v1 works very well in mono and I love the colours in V2.

Hard pushed to choose between these two versions.
A wonderful mono but I feel if it were mine I'd want everybody to see
those subtle colours in V2.
I hope you're going to enter this in a club competition - I love it -sorry I've given away my award!

The b&w is dramatic, Jason. The area of light over the water almost looks like the cauldron of a volcano. However...despite my penchant for the b&w, I feel the subtle dark colours of v2 is even more dramatic of has more atmosphere than v1.
One I really would love to have taken myself.

I too think that v2 has more atmosphere - it's eerie and magical and brings the light to life (IMHO)! Smile
