Something a bit different today. We have a mono competition coming up at camera club on the theme of "Architecture" and I was thinking of putting one of these in but can't decide which one to use. Thoughts?

Thanks for looking
Jason

V3 I think, although the others are excellent as well I think the sky in V3 just makes it my fave.

Three great photos and I agree with Andy that V3 is excellent, showing the bigger picture without losing the reflections and clouds Smile

For me v2 is more artistic it is more graphical and abstract. V 1 is not balanced quite as well and v3 is more of a record shot. An interesting subject though better than mine so far.

Sums it up well. v1 has some strong diagonals and the clouds are balanced with their reflection. v3 I would be tempted to pull the top left corner out to make a straight vertical. v2 for its abstract quality for me as well.

Jason, this is a quite exceptional set. All are exceptionally well taken and converted. My fave is V1, but I love them all.

V2 is the best for me as it has abstract qualities and strong lines and is the most inventive composition

I have wanted to get down south to Kristiansand ever since they built this place.

I would go for v2, as it concentrates on the architecture without distracting extra bits, like the other buildings in v3 and the clouds in both 1 and 3.
If using v2 I would clone out that tiny cloud right above the skyline of the building to give a cleaner, sharper look.

V2 for sure Jason.
The houses in bottom left area distraction for me in V3.
I findthe lighter part of sky a bit of a distraction in V1
but V2 looks the perfect image.
Good luck with the competition - I'm trawling my folders for mono ideas too.
