One from the Rivelin Valley, Sheffield today. I wanted to see if I could capture the sun sparkling on the water but of course the contrast was a challenge. Have worked on this to try to control it but not sure if I have succeeded - will be interested in your views.

Thanks for looking
Jason

Looks inviting---As to sparkles, wondering what happened when you used a very small f stop?

Effective image, Jason with nice light. On the monitor I am using, which is not calibrated, the light on the water looks like it may be controlled too much, I would expect it with a little more sparkle and white, I will try and remember to look on my calibrated one this evening.

Lovely composition. Agree with Kate in that it is good to see the water frozen and not blurred. Ann.

I didn't have my tripod with me Jenn so working handheld I couldn't go any slower shutter speed than this so couldnt use a smaller aperture. Could have pushed the ISO further I guess but I didn't Grin

Hi Jason

Back on my calibrated monitor at home, looks much better, the processing looks good to me, so just disregard what I said earlier. Just goes to show the importance of a decent calibrated monitor.
