Thank you for your votes and comments on yesterday's Loch Lomond image - the consensus preferred the colour version and I agree.

This is Sulphur Tuft fungus (Hypholoma fasciculare) which was growing in the woods near the lochan I put up a couple of days ago.

Really nice composition. Had a little play with it, just tried to isolate the fungi from the surrounding area by applying a little selective sharpening and a vignette.
