This is a photograph of the surrounding area of Carew Mill, which is in Pembrokeshire. Usually it seems to be photographed when the water is at it's highest, there is a magnificent red sky and a few swans. Thought I show what it looks like for the majority of the time.

Please view large if you have the time.

Thanks for your comments on my teethWink

What a good idea Stephen, a shot showing the reality of tidal rivers.
It is interesting to see the shape that the bed meanders.
Good image and nicely presented.

I love the watercolour appearance of this, the greys and greens complimenting each other. So much better than swans and sunsets.

It certainly has a water colour feel to the image.

Very good work.

I appreciate this, there are a lot of (excellent but idealised) red skies and swans on the site, but 'reality' landscapes are easier to identify with. This has a painterly simplicity, strong composition with the meandering ribbon of water, and limited palette. Very satisfying.

I like this. The sky sets the mood, but also the lack of water does too, making it look rather barren.

Well captured.

This has the look of an old world painting. The colors and hues of green make this refreshingly different. Nice one!

After reading all the comments, I tend to agree with joline-- look of an OLd World painting-- -- not being familiar with the place, , I still like its colors and especially the dense clouds contrasting with the greens
