I am going to doom this to failure and probably cause people to question my judgment, but despite the lack of rainbow I actually prefer this shot taken yesterday to the EC winning one from Saturday.
Taken at the end of the day when the weather cleared, it has most of the elements I was hoping to capture by revisiting this location over the weekend.
Great to spend the weekend up there with some of you, see you in November if not before!
As always, thanks for looking.
Superb tones and composition
Seems we've changed the tag, Neil, to rowardmar08, so I've done 'em both for you.
As for the shot and which one I like best, wild horses have no chance, so hav a vote for this one too, and we'll wait to see which one Mr Bargh likes
A must large to really appreciate this superb shot!
Thanks Fran, glad someone is on the ball. I suspect Pete really will be sick of the sight of this cottage now!
a bit more snow to be seen in this one, i cant choose!
look forward to seeing you before november
Love the light on in the cottage gives a real life feel to the cottage.
I like the low view!
Thanks Jay, Maddie, Davie & Patrick.
Maddie will try to meet up down south at some point soon.
Lovely view Neil, I know what you mean, but I'm (ouch it hurts on the fence! ) struggling to choose
Another stunner Neil
Nice, but prefer the previous one mate. Great seeing you again and meeting the family.
Excellent shot, great comp and colours
Like both of them Neil, great low POV on this one though.
Glad to hear you got home OK and it was nice to meet you and your family.
I like this - different from the usual shots, well lit and nice use of the stick.
Thanks Sean, Dave, Paul, Mark, Gary & Pete
Irresistably photogenic Neil. Ron.
After the snow???????
You should have seen it this morning
Certainly conveys the feeling of the wildness on Rannoch Moor, the glimmer of light in the window is a nice touch not often captured.
Excellent image of this so very often photographed wee cottage.
All the very best Neil,
Pure Scottishness....great stuff

Thanks Ron, Roy, Dougie, Chris, Ben.
Chuffed to bits at the moment, 3 uploads from Rowardennan and I pick up 1 EC and 2 HC's for them. Maybe time to quite while I am ahead and before I start to really annoy some of the others!
Thanks again Pete
Sorry, I should say 1EC and 2HCs in a week!
Another absolute beauty Neil, congrats on the HC. This is becoming a great habit hehe
Oh look, it's that cottage again Another good one though
Thanks Cole, Gaz, Katy.
Got to agree with you ,best one i`ve seen from here in a while--including the other award ones.
