This was taken on the beach at James Bond Island Thailand...These ladies were all engrossed at whatever the "hairdresser" was doing. Not a usual beach scene...

Great candid - you have captured the concentration of the watchers and hairdresser beautifully. Bruce

Quite an unsual beach-scene, yes. The letterbox format works well and the light is nice too

this is a good photo Judith. those yellow synthetic polo shirts cause some exposure problems but not really enough to bother (hate those shirts. It's easier to photograph a mirror in plain sunlight without getting exposure problems).
the line up with those different expressions really works well. Have seen them do this before. think they are removing grey hairs, but I could be wrong. I shall consult later with my (unofficial he he) other half Smile

Consultations have now been concluded and indeed, it is the removal of grey hairs that we are witnessing here.
When you see children do this, then it is the removal of lice

Wonderful, candid scene. I have a friend who comes from Sarawak, Malaysia. She is also obsessed with yanking grey hairs out. Then I heard from my kids that they saw her mix the hairs into the soil of her potplants!
