Fire n Ice,
Another image from my college days. (About three years ago)
A black velvet background was used; it also covered the table we were working on.
On top of the black velvet on top of the table we placed a piece of plate glass.
My aperture was f8 and the shutter speed was 11secs .
By using methylated spirit as our ignition agent it gave us a blue flame.
The ice cubes were made of glass and we used glycerine to give an illusion of the ice melting.
If you try this at home be careful because methylated sprit burns very hot.
JCaslin another EPZ user was at college at the same time and we worked together on the set.
Only the border and title was added using photoshop
The image has been scanned onto my computer using my Epson 4990.
