Very nice bit of light in this one, really does bring out the colours well. The contrast of the snow in the foreground works well against the warm tones in the rocks, the eye is then taken back into the cold blue tones on the distant hills and sky.

A beauty this one, great mirror like surface. The light is rather strong, but adds a little mystery with those soft mountains in the background.

The focus on the stalk and moss is fine, the top of the mushroom and nearest edge is rather soft. You can overcome this by using a smaller apeture, and slower shutter speed. Its a good idea to try and get a little lower with a shot like this (not always possible I know), showing the gills if possible. The background is rather busy and distracts from the main subject, some black material or card behind would make it stand out much more. Another good thing to have is a reflector to bounce light onto the underside of the mushroom, a cheap one can be made from tin foil.
Well worth giving it a go, from the results others have had on here shows its well worth a try.
