Thank you for the kind comments and votes re last upload "Lucifer pt 2". Greatly appreciated as always.

Sorry about the title was going to use lily the pink Smile but Barbara used that the other day Smile

A crop and not too sure about the boarder.

Thank you for taking the time to look.

Cheers

John

Lovely close up inspection of these blooms, John, but I share your misgivings about the border.

fine detail and subtle coulours John...maybe a 1 pixel border would have been sufficient to seperate it from the epz background

Frame filling colour, John, and some good patterns but the pink border doesn't do it for me.

Lovely soft tones and well detailed capture. I would have used a pink from within the image or the green for the frame IMHO

Now you ask about the border John, I think I'd have gone for an off white colour, which I think would have been less 'in your face'. Love the close in crop and wonderful detail in the flowers.

I too would have used one of the more muted shades from the image and also perhaps just nudged the brightness and contrast to give the image a bit of a lift, just a thought though. That is a lovely rhododendron, with those lovely rich coloured buds in the centre and makes a first class full frame image.

Looks to be a beautiful Rhododendron with such glorious tones and details. I'm with the "less is more" brigade re the frame, especially with flowers.
