Many thanks all for the kind comments re last up load "Yorkshire Pride !!"¯ always greatly appreciated. I was very pleased that it was received in the way it was. Some absolutely brilliant comments had me chuckling most of the night. Jocelia's comment was outstanding and have to quote the last line "I might live in Oz for choice and the health of our eldest daughter but I still cheer like a Pommie....."¯ un-quote, Good on yer sport.![]()
This is another from Netty's garden (neighbour) she told me the name but forgot (hence the title) and dare not ask her again as she will shout at me.
Tried a few different coloured backgrounds but felt this looked best.
Thanks for taking the time to look.
Cheers
John

Superb image John. fantastic colour and detail,
Hugh
I was thinking a hollyhock John. But take it from me I know nothing about flowers. Just looks like a hollyhock I took last year. Beautiful whatever it is.
Not too worried about football, if it is not international matches he is not interested

Looks like Hollyhocks, if the stems are prickly with large maple type leaves at bottom through to small at top and somewhat prickly then I would say a Hollyhocks. I don't think it is an Hibiscus because they have fairly small leaves and those I can see in your photo appear to be quite large. I have both, but the Hibiscus hasn't yet flowered, usually does early September, and yes they thrive beautifully here.
Beautiful colour and details John I am sure it is a hollyhock, well captured..Lin
Fantastic colour and well detailed too! love it.
