Another look down Derwentwater towards Castle Cragg and the Borrowdale Fells in the Lake District..
Horizontal this time Smile

Took a few shots and I could not decide whether I like the portrait or the horizontal shots I captured. The model happily sat and posed without complaint on the post Grin.

What an obliging model! Smile

The light here is beautiful too, but I think I prefer the balance of the portrait version with less of the island to the right - in its entirety, it makes the RH side a little "heavy" in my opinion...

They are both lovely, but for me the portrait format has the edge.

I like this version, it is much less constrained, giving room for the wideness of the scene. I also like the less centered composition with the eye able to move across the frame and back again.

The portrait version was the better composition for me, the bird is on the wrong post for this version sadly. But you can't ask it to move, they are of course both very beautiful, who knows what we would have thought without seeing the upright image. Bonnie visit Jeanie, must have been a real pleasure seeing this.

Both portrait and landscape formats work equally well in my opinion, neither one better than the other.
Just wish I had another UA handy as this one would also have deserved such.
Ronnie.

Totally Sublime. Ann
