Isle Ornsay Lighthouse, Isle of Skye.
A light house radiating wonderful light. A beautifully composed and balanced image Jeanie, the light being the star of this fantastic production.
A gorgeous use of the light, makes a great image, love it. Have you considered cropping a little off the bottom to lower the lighthouse?
Thank you Nathan and Ivor.
Ivor yes I did consider it but was unsure... if I cropped/squared it up, I would lose or unbalance the lighhouse reflection in the water.. Maybe I should have cropped it after all
Great lighting on the lighthouse and lots of drama in the background. I'm tempted to agree with Ivor about cropping to lower the lighthouse, I'm not sure the reflection in the water is strong enough to offer balance although I do like it and holding up my hands to cover bits isn't helping me decide so it's probably ideal as it is! LOL
A fabulous image Jeanie. The lighthouse really does seem to 'pop' with the light on it.
Just wanted to add my voice to say how I love the light on the lighthouse.
You have found just the right time of day for this image, the light is gorgeous, as is the setting.
As mentioned above, very good use of some beautiful light.
Thank you Al, Harsharn, Ann, Joline, Derek and Doug.
Ok I have added a square cropped version... let you be the judges..
Returning to my packing now.........Did I mention I am off to Glencoe and Skye tomorrow morning? hehe...
Brilliant use of light in these shots love it regards Leon.
On balance, I think I prefer the square crop which suits the squat lighthouse. Have a fabulous trip you lucky girl! On your return I look forward to seeing all the images you make.
Both lovely images but V2 ,I love
Beautiful shot !!!.....love the light & 'miniature' effect of the lighthouse against the bulk of the mountains....top notch !!
As already stated, beautiful light in this Jeanie. I prefer the portrait version.
For me the square crop adds a power to this image which was lacking in the upright version. Good on you for trying the suggestion Jeanie.
I love the soft lights on Beinn Sgritheall in the BG.
