Hard to image a b/w kingfisher but it works really well! Excellent shot!

Superb image - but I am sure I will be quite alone in this, why on earth the mono treatment?
The real beauty of KF's is their amazing colour (and their rarity I guess) - so I think this is a top notch image but my click is for the image and not the post production.
Much prefer colour in wildlife shots such as this myself, i would of uploaded both as variants

have to say I agree the KF being a beautifully coloured bird why process in mono?
