I was out last night as the sun was going down, and spotted how the sun was falling on this thistle, i quite liked it and it makes a change from my previous shots.

The larger shot, does this more justice. Would like to have seen more of the lower part of the plant. Great detail of the little spiders.

Splendid image! the backlighting seems to emphasize the varigation of the leaves. Will be very beautiful when it blooms!
