I believe this to be a meadow brown butterfly, taken at the week end with my 100-400lis hand held.
Used a close crop as BG was awful

Considering the awkward angle you took this, it is an excellent shot! The technical side is outstanding, the visual appeal, less so, for me... there are some angles that just feel uncomfortable, don't know why?

Overall very well done!
