A good try at self portrait. Try throwing a sheet or cloth over a door or something for a plain background and try to get a little nearer to the camera. Then try a simple black and white effect and see how you like that. Good luck, you have some good pics in your portfolio, practice is the key now. This is a great site for looking at good examples. I teach art in a high school and a little photography too when I can and I get all my students to look on this site.
