A good effort at a long exposure night shot jenni. Needs to be sharper, - and something you may not realize is that after you re size you image for loading to the web, the new image can lose sharpness due to file compression. So re size, the save-as a new file name, then open the new file, check sharpness and adjust as needed.
In the mod Ive cropped a little of the drakness off the left as it seemed unnecessary.
For two critiques in one, - I much prefer this to the colour/mono combo version youve loaded, whic also needs sharpening. the colour version for me anyway tells more of a night story.
I would recommend that you look at the member portfolio of Ade_McFade on this site as he is quite an expert at night photography. He may well pop in and take a look at this also, - but dont wait, - go take a look.

Good advice from Willie, To me the shot looks at bit like you weren't sure what the real subject was , the station, the person or the traffic lights , this leads to a rather complicated image, as an trial at night work it's pretty good, and I presume you learnt a lot, so maybe try again and this time concentrate on one definite subject I'm sure you will find it more rewarding. I'm looking forward to seeing the next one.

Thanks for the advice Willie & Phill.
This was my first attempt at night shots so definately need to get out there and find some more interesting locations to practice and as you say concentrate on a definate subject.
I had a look at Ade_McFade and am very impressed with his night shots!
Also I did not know that about uploading the files so thanks for that info.
