A lovely poppy out of the garden, it had self-seeded so I wasn't sure what colour it was going to be until it actually emerged; this was a pleasant and unexpected surprise.

Having tried a few different angles was most pleased with this one ............ your comments and critique will, as ever, be much appreciated.

Just wish things like this would self seed in our patch, Jenni: all we get is dandelions.
A very fine macro shot making good use of selective focus with that wide open aperture.
