Well captured - and you're right - his eyes do tell the story.

Flower by tanda97

The subtle lighting suits the subject. Beautiful shot.

WOW! what a striking shot! Well done.

Fantastic shot! He's got quite a quizzical expression on his face.

(Did the impala make it?)

I like the way the long narrow format emphasizes the line. Have you had a look at the work of Andy Goldsworthy? You should find plenty of inspiration there for this kind of work.

You've really got an eye for any interesting image Lucie. I'm enjoying watching your portfolio grow.
Great shot!

Great shot. The soft blue against the B&W tones work well. As does the stairway leading the eye to the boat. Perhaps lose a slight bit of the foreground but its not too much of a distraction for me.
All in all a really tranquil, well finished image.

This is a beautiful shot - agree with sunsetskydancer Smile

Hi Lucie

I actually like the way you've cropped this. I think it works because she has become part of the painting (part of her created world?) Which for me sums up the passion of an artist (ie when they emerse themselves in their art) Leaving in too much background could detract from that.
What especially works is how the little girl in the painting seems to be waiting patiently for her attention. If anything should be included in the crop - I'd say her feet as that would give the eye natural completion to the body and possibly elimate tjdj and others' distraction with the pocket flap.

Rob, I didn't know they had double-decker penguins in the Cape! Have you been up Table mountain?

Hey! he is way cool Smile We've got a frog living in our garden called Zac but our cat torments him (!) so he doesn't come out too often.
