Photo 366 (293) "Junior Prefect."
282 (906)
Each schoolday, my Chloe takes it upon herself, with a couple of her mates, after everyone's finished their lunches to stack away the tables and chairs.
They've never been asked to do so and although they've received several 'merits' and pats on the back from the staff for their otherwise unsung efforts, there's been no official recognition.
Until now.
They've been awarded the status of "Junior Prefect." Previously, prefects were only selected from the children in year 8, so it's something of an achievement and one of which they're all understandably proud.
Because no-one could find a supplier of 'Junior Prefect' badges, possibly because the title doesn't really exist, Mr. Putnam, our D.T. teacher turned out some custom made badges for them on his new laser cutter, burning the words into and cutting around them in wood.
They may not look much but to a few ten-year-old girls, they're worth their weight in gold.

Excellent. Very well worth the effort. Nicely done too. ![]()
A very well deserved pat on the back for Chloe and her mates
And certainly another one for Mr Putman.
Thanks Jack,
I wondered what you might make of the woodwork!
