A composition of a SE5A trying to run away from the red baron (Manfred Von Richofen) a famous German fighter pilot of world war 1 with 80 recorded victories and 20 of those victories in a Fokker Dr.1. He is hunting down the SE5a in France down a small river just a short distance away from the battle on the ground. Manfred Von Richofen died in combat on the 21st April 1918. He is regarded as one of the best pilots from world war 1. He painted his aircraft red as he wanted to be noticed when he was in the sky by his enemy's. He got given many names but the most commonly as the red baron. The ace of aces. He was also called the Red Devil and Little red.

Echo Richard's comment re art - and I should add that although we discussed some aspects of this image it really is all Connor's work. He appeared a few days ago with the first 'cut' and very little needed to be added after that. It is first class and shows great promise - now get back to the English text books!!

Connor, this is an outstanding piece of work.
All of your composites are really very well done, sometimes excellent but this one is outstanding.
Sufficiently so that for only the second time in over twelve months, I'm going to drag out my user award and award it to you for this shot. It rarely sees the light of day but this really deserves it.
A first class job.
Well done.
Bren.
