Epson 1400 ink
I have a 1400 and use refillable cartridges from ink express and find them quite good. I had a bit of a rough start with them as I started using them after coming back from a four week vacation but all is ok now. The quality of the images printed are perfect, I can see no difference.

Hope this helps....

Most expensive petrol in the UK?
I am of the UK next week and while we pay 1.48 a litre for diesal here (and it it is due to go down by 8-10% according to the press) and I paid 1.30 in France two weeks ago, I will be paying 1.72 in the UK.

Maybe things are not to bad here......

It looks as if a full tank is required when we get on the boat !!!!

Epson 1400 & CIS options
Thanks for the feedback. Are these cartridges easy to refill & how long do that last before the physical cartridge needs to be dumped and replaced ?.

Epson Artisan 1430
Sometimes is easier not change chase the latest & greatest, look at the Epson 1400, with the new 1430 coming on stream (which I assume is a replacement for 1400) you may get I better price break !!!

Epson 1400 & CIS options
I have an Epson 1400 and I am looking for for a CIS system to go with it. There are two options I am considering, there are the 'Bigfoot' CIS system from Injetfly in the US or the Fotospeed Inkflow system in the UK.

Does any one have any positive or negative experience of either ? or a recommendation for another option ?.

Printing from Photoshop to EPSON SX205 on a Mac
Can some one help me !!!

When I print directly from Photoshop Elements to my Epson printer, the images are significantly darker on paper than on screen. I am using a MAC and I never had this problem when I printed from my Windows laptop or even when I print from Iphoto

I have tried to tweek the print setting on the Mac when printing, but I am still not getting right but rapidly going through print cartridges and photo paper instead !!!

Thanks in advance

John

mac vs pc
I am IT manager and use a windows PC everyday in work last christmas I got a gift of a Mac from my wife and it is great. The Mac I find is different, quirky and and cerainly the software range is not expansive, but I love it.

Apple has caught me hook, line and sinker and I don't think I will buy another Microsoft windows PC, now back to reality.....

When you are considering buying an Apple personal computer, consider the investment you have made in microsoft software, photoshop, printers and external storage, make sure the web pages you need to access, as not all, support Apple's Safari bowser and also consider the costs MACs are not cheap !!!!.

However if you get one, you will love it. Apple compatible software, printers, cameras, Iphones etc, all plug in & connect a seamless manner and you will discover how computers should work.

Nikon Cashback Woes
I posted my request in in November and have still not received the cheque, though I was promised it would arrive in a week, 3 weeks ago !!!!

I hope there is some one from NIKON monitoring these forums and they can fully grasp how poorly this reflects on their corporate image.
