...reflections of a dramatic sky on the still waters of the Loch.
***Fraser suggested the hot spot was spoiling the image, so here's a version with the hole in the sky damped down.
wonderful light and tones dougie cracking reflections a stunner top shot
Like the big sky here Dougie, good to have the reflections for balance too
Great cloud formation and reflections of them captured on the loch.
I didn't go down to the loch, but stopped up at the viewpoint. Moira
Lovely balance, Dougie. Clouds are fablous!
Love it, the clouds are dramatic and the reflection makes it better
A wonderful sky, full of drama, light and shade, all so well re-recorded in the mirror calm of the Loch.
The B and W presentation adds to the drama as well, I'm sure.
When I first viewed the image I was wondering if there was a slight bluish toning here, but the more I look I feel it's just my eyes.
The reflections have a textile quality, like patterned satin.

A touch of blue to add a little something extra Ronnie.
Moira I think the blue gave an extra feel to this, satin describes it very well indeed.
There's always one more Ron.
Ooh this is very impressive Dougie, I can see this as a large print.. just beautiful
A big print is the outcome of this one Dougie...At least it should be.
This is really god Dougie and, to me, has more of a metallic than silk look (the blue tint adds to this). Not sure about the burnt out area in the sky and feel the image looks better with that area cropped out.
Many thanks for the wee tree on "Hulls". Always pleased to receive a wee tree
You can still knock out a stunning sky Dougie !!!......impressive !!!
I think V2 is better Dougie, the absence of the hot spot suggests is more appropriate to the overall contrast range of the image. More gentle and relaxing to my mind.
A lovely mood
I do like the toning in this image Dougie - it brings out that sky so well. I think I prefer the version with the hot spot toned down. The natural landscapes in Scotland so often have this steely blue light but your treatment just adds that little extra which works very nicely.
Wonderful tones here Dougie. V2 does work better.
Mind blowing Dougie! Fantastic to see. I can see the difference working well in v2. So well captured. Another wedding tomorrow ! Gx
