One of the geese which are at the pond all year except for a few months in winter, when they are taken to a warmer place - lucky them - the seagull in V2 has just dropped in to see what food he could scavenge for himself, or maybe steal from the ducks!
Many, many thanks for your warm response to my return, very humbling and convinces me that this is the ONLY site I'd ever consider being on, as I'm sure some were maybe wondering if I'd absconded to Facebook, Flickr, or the like, when I was away so long. I do have a tenuous connection with the two I've mentioned but only because my son and/or grandchildren use them, so I keep up to date with them that way, I do not post anything on either!
I have a correction to make too, on checking back to my last upload before my hiatus, many of you got the impression I was celebrating my 84th. birthday, when what I was meaning I was EMBARKING on my 84th. year, so you see I'm still just a young fella of 83, or to be exact 83 and one quarter now ![]()
Finally, my sincerest thanks for your C&C's on 'Crocuses', hope you like today's effort too.

Two excellent captures here Jim - I love the goose!!!
Carol
As a child we had huge flocks of geese - always loved them, they are so clever!
This is a very beautiful one, and so well taken showing her natural habitat.
Johanna
With all the joy about the goose, I forgot to say, the gull is a beauty, too.
It was well worth having a gander at these Jim, you are starting to master wildlife photography now
