I think the sky has been overdone whilst in the tone mapping sequence. I would likely guess that the sky was burnt out in the tone compressor options as opposed to the detail enhancement options (both tabbed within tone mapping). I do not know what adjustments you made but I believe it was probably done when adjusting either the color temperature or color saturation sliders. If you are doing the same HDR again, with the same original photos, watch the sky carefully whilst adjusting these options when you get to the tone mapping stage. Adjust until the sky looses its reality and then back the slider up until you loose the burn out.
