From time to time we are lucky with the weather and get some days hotter than last summer. These photos were taken last Friday and Saturday at different time. It is the same rose opening. V1 was shot with my 70-300mmVR zoom. For V2 and V3 I used my Sigma 105mm.

V1: f16 1/200th sec spot meter natural late morning light
Zoom at 300mm

Have a look at all three if possible and hopefully one version will appeal to you.

Thanks for all the comments you left on my last up-load. Very pleased that the majority liked V1.

Have a nice day,
Jean-NoŽl

Beautiful roses, beautifully captured and presented, Jean-Noel. I don't have a favourite, all roses are beautiful. Carol

Such a beautiful rose and you captured it so well.
How do you achieve such a dark bg Jean Noel, while the flower is nicely lit? Good work,
Johanna
