"Set in the beautiful Cotswolds, Miserden Estate has a proud history stretching back many hundreds of years. The 17th centry Manor House stands high overlooking the Golden Valley and is at the heart of a thriving Estate and Village Community.
Miserden is located close to Cirencester, Gloucester, Cheltenham and Stroud." (www.miserdenpark.co.uk)

You can go for wonderful walks in the park as well as visit the gardens of Miserden Park are open from April to September and buy some plants/flowers. The village is lovely with lots of beautiful cottages and some splendid views which at the moment are full of colours.

Yesterday, as it was such a lovely sunny day, I went to the village of Miserden for a walk in the park to see the Autumn colours and the lake. On the way, the Manor House at the top of the hill surrounded by those wonderful colours and the lovely triangle of green grass shining in the morning caught my eye. So here it is: f16 1/30th polarising filter, monopod, zoom at 23mm, natural morning light.

Thank you for the positive comments on the previous uploads on Gloucestershire.
Hoping you enjoy this new photo. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment or critique.

Have a good evening,

I've been looking at this, wondering if it would look good with the strong shadow area at the front cropped away, but decided that it adds something special to it. The comp has a great lead in, but I like how the different areas of the photo: grass, woods and shadow, create pleasing triangular shapes. Works for me.

I like how both the shadow and the meadow seem to flow thru the image, almost like a watercourse. Superb composition on this, Jean.

Super composition, a great angle and autumn colours with the shadow helping the framing at the bottom. Jeff
