September 2011, when I first visited Purnululu National Park, it was too hot to venture on the Piccaninny Trail but in early June this year, the temperature was ideal for a long walk in the amazing landscape.

If you want to see more of this fascinating National Park, have a look in the album “Australia 2011” and look for Mini Palms Gorge, Echidna Chasm and Cathedral Gorge.

Another great set of images, JCN: these rounded holes in the rock are intriguing, possibly made by pebbles scouring out the rock?

Three superbly collated images Jean, each crammed with gorgeous form, shape, tone, texture and magical light. The shape and form of the river bed certainly gives the impression of an alien planet.
