Quite a task for the farmer, it was hard work back then and still is by the looks. Raising the reaper could bea grim task for any age Danny, good to see you back.Grin

Dan besides the wonderful photographic record you have, this gentleman should have his stories recorded by himself in his local dialect. Once again today's image adds to your brilliant collection.

Another stunning image of how life was and sometimes still is on these gorgeous working farms. Two magnificent animals, of which I personally have so much respect for. My Great Grandfather worked without horse as part of a Gun Carrying team at the Battle of Messines Ridge, as well as a few other notable horrific theatres of war.

Andy thank you so much for your UA and your kind comments.Hopefully John's grandson who is now in his early 20's will carry on working with the horses. I must say it appears to be a very hard and labour intensive life. It can't be much fun staring at a horses backside all day.

Cheers Danny.
