Walking to work in the orange/yellow dawn light in Laos.
Please help me decide which crop is the better one - panorama or 6x4
All other comments are very welcome. This is an image I'm never totally sure of so I'd really appreciate your opinions on this one.
Thanks,
Lianna
ps. please view large, especially for the panorama version.

Love them both but the figure has much more impact in version 1.
I've switched between them several times and I can see your dilemma. I think I go for panorama though, the narrow height gives the walker proportionately more distance to walk into and makes a more dynamic image (if that makes sense).
.. and can I add that I think it's a really good image as well.

A superb image with the lovely colours and light of the early morning not to mention the various silhouettes of the trees.. The little figure walking on the narrow strip of earth on the paddy field is wonderful and adds the human element in this landscape.
My personal choice is V2 but I would crop the bottom of the photo to eliminate the mud in the foreground.
Your photo makes me long for Vietnam and gives me the incentive to visit Laos.

This photo is really beautiful and that type of natural photography is greatly overlooked on this site so I came back to give it my UA. .
Best wishes,
JNC
Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for the comments and votes. I'm very honoured to get your UA JNC ![]()
Laos is indeed such a beautiful place where the pace of life is so peacefully slow. It's my favourite country in SE Asia and I'd really recommend a visit.
I'll keep playing with a few more crops as per your suggestion JNC, but I think I'm also veering towards the panorama or perhaps a 1x2 crop...
Thanks again for the input.
Lianna
