John and I took a trip out yesterday, with no particular plans, we found ourselves on Whitbys East Pier at sunset.
The specks in the sky are in fact seagulls, though not that obvious when viewed at this size, clearly visible as such in the full size image.
It was incredibly windy out on the pier, and though the East Pier was deserted, there were lots of people taking in the sunset on the more popular West Pier.

As always Thanks for looking, and thanks to John, for a great day out.

A wonderful glowing warm light and the detail in the whole image from the pier supports on the right to the lighthouse and foreground is just sublime.
We were being blown from pillar to post and yet you have captured the atmosphere and the feel of the occassion so very well indeed. Excellentt work here Chant. Just tops.

The lighthouse is straight ahead but the flagstones seem to curve towards it, that's effective.
Now of course I'm imagining the two of you lying flat on the ground for these, and passers-by reacting...

I have only ever walked down the East Pier on one occasion and never photographed it as far as I can recall . Nice light leading to some great colours tones and like your POV and general composition .Love the detail in the stonework .When the occasion is right will be taking a walk out with my camera along there . A beauty here though Chant ....Phil
