Last August we had a short holiday in West Cork with my brother in law and his family. West Cork is a magical landscape of patchwork fields and hedgerows laden with wild flowers where the Atlantic ocean is never far away.

The pictures were taken during a short walk of about 5 km near the village of Baltimore. The flowers in the hedgerows include montbretia, fuschia, and wild roses. It was a pity I didn't have a macro lens with me.

You did a grand job John of showing us the countryside ,despite the lack of macro lens. You could always pop a screw on macro lens in your pocket just in case Wink xx
