A nice close shot of the Barn Owl, I have never seen so many this year, there were 4, so 2 pairs hunting the same area.
I got a bit more creative this time and tried different settings, I gave a -4/3 or more exposure to capture the wing detail a bit more, seems to have worked.
What do you think Smile.

i tend to err towards a darker image myself so you'll hear no complaint from me! however i would be interested as to why you were using such a low ISO when the 5-3 has so much scope to make life easier

I think it has worked beautifully and is typical of the light levels you would expect to see them in.

Nice shot and the patience taken just to capture it is some feat. But you do seem to have the lens lenght for the job. I can appreciate what you were trying to achieve with wing detail. I would have thought that if the exposure was slightly darker would have brought out more detail?
