Lovely feather detail, and a nice background / tree bark / moss etc, great positioning of the bird you have the model well trained. In my esperience they are fast moving so well caught.

Oh yeah. very nice John. Superb in fact. The DOF is stopping it from being perfect in my opinion. I assume this was shot at f5.6? Dropped to F8 or more wold have got all the feet in focus. Only being picky as I strive for perfecion with bird shots. I'd certainly be very happy with this as it is though!! Well done. Thanks for sharing it.
