Taken at Gigrin Farm today. I was tracking this kite when it suddenly turned on the wing and went into a vertical dive, this is a shot i have after for quite some time. Not to happy about the background being grey but at least the sun was out behind me. Hope you like it.

At least with a sky like that no-one can comment on distractions. Superb!

You have captured this well, caus I know how hard it is. When I went there it was a wonderful day, with blue sky, (as my upload will show if you have time to take a peep) , but my image isn't as good as yours.

Lovely crisp image, really hard to do. Any other sky would distract from the main event.

Excellent shot with the Red Kite plunging at high speed and you got a perfect detail on the plumage. It is great to see how he controls the dive with the spread of the wings.
Congratulations on the HC

Wonderful! Beautiful image .... I too like the grey sky ... I think it adds drama to the birds dive! ... We were at Gigrin on the 20th sept .... all my shots were rubbish ..... not suitable for uploading at all ... my partner ... kelvin also an EPZ'er ...got some cracking shots and has posted 1 I think ... maybe 2 ..... well done on this .... not an easy one to get!
