First in a series of tulips, each presented rather differently. Starting with bold colour and panoramic format (in case you hadn't noticed).

This one was grown in my garden with the intention of photographing it. It's probably the first time that anything I planted for that purpose actually grew !

This has worked well, the tight crop makes the most of the bold colours.
